Middlesex Man Charged With Vehicular Homicide In Fatal DWI Collision

A 32-year-old man from New Brunswick was arrested in the death of a co-worker struck and killed by a commercial truck, authorities said.

Leovigildo Comisario-Salazar, 32, of New Brunswick was charged with vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Michael J. Biennas of the Monroe Township Police Department.

An investigation found that at 4:08 p.m. on Friday, Comisario-Salazar was operating a commercial truck at 433 Schoolhouse Road when he struck and killed his coworker Pedro Lopez Lopez, 33, of New Brunswick, Ciccone and Biennas said. 

Comisario-Salazar was charged with being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, they said.
