Danbury Music Centre Staging Big Band Performance

DANBURY, Conn. -- The Danbury Music Centre will be hosting a benefit performance with the Danbury Music Centre Big Band on Saturday, May 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Marian Anderson Recital Hall at the Danbury Music Centre, 256 Main St.

The Danbury Music Centre will be hosting a benefit performance with the Danbury Music Centre Big Band on Saturday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m., in the Marian Anderson Recital Hall at the Danbury Music Centre, 256 Main St.

Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. 

The DMC Big Band is a 15-piece band made up of members from the Danbury Symphony Orchestra and musicians from the Danbury area. 

Vocalist Anthony Nazzaro returns again this year, joining the Big Band in singing classics from Gershwin, Ellington, Rodgers & Hart and many others. 

All audience members are invited to dance or listen to the music, with a wine and cheese reception during the performance. 

The Danbury Music Centre invites all U.S. veterans to attend free of charge, in recognition of their service. 

All proceeds will benefit the educational programs and performance groups of the Danbury Music Centre.
