More Security Wanted At Mount Pleasant Residential Centers

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – Officials have increased calls to boost security at two Mount Pleasant residential centers after multiple incidents requiring police assistance, according to lohud.com.

Local centers Hawthorne Cedar Knolls and the Pleasantville Cottage School have had problems with students frequently getting off school grounds unsupervised, lohud.com said.

While Mount Pleasant can fine both schools when an incident occurs, Police Chief Paul Oliva wanted more to be done to curb 'an ongoing problem,' reported lohud.com.
