This year’s theme was “IMAGINE 2014: A Night on Broadway,” and was co-chaired by Julene Greensheilds, Kristine Reddington Herlyn and Dana Nickel, all of Wilton, and Deanna Bergin of Darien. “We are thrilled with the success of IMAGINE 2014: A Night on Broadway,” said Robert F. Cashel, president and CEO of FCA.

The FCA serves Norwalk, Wilton, Westport, Weston, Darien and Stamford.

“The benefit is the agency’s largest annual fundraiser, raising nearly $250,000, with 89 cents of every dollar donated going directly to supporting client services. We are grateful for our dedicated co-chairs, enthusiastic committee and generous sponsors and donors for the event.”

Activities at the benefit were led by Master of Ceremonies and Auctioneer Randye Kaye, who is best known as an author, public speaker and radio personality. Some favorite Broadway songs were performed by the 4 Chordsmen during the event. During the silent auction, there were more than 60 packages to bid on, including an evening at FCA’s Bridgeport Bluefish suite in Harbor Yard, tickets to the 2015 Masters Tournament, a sunset yacht cruise, a week-long trip to a Belize luxury resort and a summer food truck party for 50 people.

A presentation that focused on the experiences Jackie, an adolescent who was in the agency’s Specialized Foster Care program, helped guests to remember the reason for the event. Jackie talked about her journey in a therapeutic foster home, and how she was able to complete high school and learn how to interact in a family, and about the next chapter of her life – beginning studies at Norwalk Community College in the fall.

She said that FCA helped her get through many struggles to get to where she is now in life. Kaye followed her speech with a Call to Action, and many were motivated to give.
