Cops: Man Paid For Car In Westport With Bad Check

WESTPORT, Conn. – A Stratford man charged on a warrant with writing a bad check as payment for a car turned himself in to Westport police, police said.

Dale LeBlanc, 45, allegedly paid for a 1969 Mercedes-Benz with a check from a closed account, police said. The check was for $3,823, the police report says.

LeBlanc, who turned himself in last week, was charged with issuing a bad check, a misdemeanor. He was released after posting $4,000 bond and is due in court Friday.

? Westport resident Sebastian Liccione, 35, last week turned himself in on a warrant charging him with larceny, police said. Liccione, of Post Road East, is accused of stealing and cashing a former roommate’s checks, totaling $25, the police report states. He was charged with sixth-degree larceny, a misdemeanor, and released after posting $2,500 bond. He is due in court Thursday.
