VISTA, N.Y. The Vista Fire Department, along with its ambulance corps, responded to 10 calls over the past two weeks. The companys fire log during that period is as follows:
Aug. 2, 3:30 p.m. - The department received a report of a ruptured propane line at a residence on Lake Path. The propane tank was turned off and the owner was advised to contact the propane company to have the line replaced.
Aug. 6, 9:58 a.m. The department received a report of an automatic fire alarm activation at a residence on Douglas Drive. It was determined to have been set off in error.
Aug. 7, 3:34 a.m. The department received a report of an automatic fire alarm activation at a residence on Smithridge Road. It was determined to have been set off in error.
Aug 7, 11:50 a.m. A request was made for the ambulance at a residence on East Street. The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital.
Aug. 10, 9:29 a.m. - The department received a report of power lines down and burning on Smithridge Road in the area of Mill River Road. Fire personnel directed traffic until NYSEG arrived and took over the scene.
Aug. 11, 11:50 a.m. A request was made for the ambulance at a residence on Fox Run Road. The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital.
Aug. 11, 3:49 p.m. - A mutual aid request was made from the Pound Ridge Fire Department for the departments tanker at the scene of a working structure fire on Park View Road in Pound Ridge.
Aug. 11, 6:25 p.m. The department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Lockwood Road. The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital with the Norwalk paramedic on board.
Aug. 12, 12:46 p.m. - The department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Mill River Road. The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital with the Westchester paramedic on board.
Aug. 13, 3:39 p.m. A request for the ambulance was received at a residence on Lorraine Road. The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital with the Westchester paramedic on board.
