"Shanice Raquel Scott Marlow is my first choice for President of the United States," Feiner said.

Despite his reputation for declining to endorse national politicians over the years, Feiner has thrown his weight behind the unlikely candidate. The only problem: Shanice isn't even old enough to vote, let alone run for president. (You have to be 35 to do that.)

Shanice Raquel Scott Marlow is a fifth-grader at R.J. Bailey Elementary School in Greenburgh and a member of the Greenburgh XPOSURE after school program. Members of the Greenburgh Town Board watched a video of her Presidential debate at the last Town Board meeting this past Wednesday.

"When I watched the video my immediate reaction was to offer to volunteer," said Feiner. "Unlike some presidential candidates, she spoke from the heart. And, campaign consultants didn't write her speech and didn't keep repeating herself!"

Shanice's favorite subjects are English, Language Arts and Science. Her older brother Justin is her inspiration. She considers him to be “a cool, calm and collected dude and awesome big brother who wins awards."

She also named Maya Angelou as an inspiration, especially in her poem 'Phenomenal Woman.' Shanice has received a Rotary Club Award and has run for the positions of Vice President and Secretary of her class. Her hobbies include dancing, singing, writing and cooking. She feels extremely lucky to have a loving family that always supports her and encourages her to strive for excellence and hopes to one day become a doctor, and possibly even President of the United States.

As election day draws near, who knows, Bailey Elementary School and XPOSURE may one day get the reputation of being the school and after school program of the next presidents of the United States.
