New Rochelle Mayor Seeks Summer Interns For His Office

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson is seeking college students or high school seniors who are entering college in September 2015 to apply to his summer internship program.

Interns will assist with the general operation of the Mayor’s Office, respond to constituent inquiries, work with various city departments and undertake special projects related to both city operations and in partnership with various community organizations as appropriate. Interns will have daily contact and interaction with Bramson and Angela Derecas Taylor, the mayor’s senior adviser for community relations . 

Applications must  have consistently maintained a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.2 (overall 87 or B+ or higher average) and be New Rochelle residents with an interest in government and public policy, good research and writing skills, and a professional, courteous demeanor.

To apply, send a cover letter, resume and one personal reference letter to ataylor@newrochelleny.com by Tuesday, March 31. Within cover letters, indicate any specific areas of interest related to municipal government. Interviews will take place during the month of April and applicants will be notified of their acceptance or rejection by mid-May.
