New Rochelle Launches Comprehensive Plan Website Forum

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The city of New Rochelle has launched an interactive website to obtain more public input while it creates a new comprehensive plan.

The site, www.EnvisioNR.com, will allow residents to submit ideas, opinions and suggestions in discussion forums on specific questions as they relate to the plan’s six focus areas including economic development, land use and zoning, mobility and infrastructure, neighborhoods and housing, open space and community resources, and urban design and preservation, city officials said.

The initial set of topics on the plans forum focuses on neighborhoods and housing, the city said. Additional topics on other focus areas will be posted on the site in the weeks and months ahead, allowing participants to revisit the site and give new feedback.

All responses will be collected by the EnvisioNR team and reviewed for the next step in the planning process. This will include the creation of recommendations for the city’s future.

Participants can sign up at on the site by clicking the purple “Sign Up Here!” box.  Participants will be able to submit their own answers, support other participants’ answers and vote on the best ideas by clicking on any of the listed questions.
