Board of Education President Lianne Merchant kicked off the evening with introductions and opening remarks, followed by an in-depth discussion of audience questions by Democratic Conference Leader Sen. Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Sen. George Latimer, Assemblywoman Amy Paulin and Assemblyman Steve Otis. 

Community members, Board of Education members, Superintendent Brian Osborne and administrators were also present.

The moderator for the evening was PTA Council President-Elect Suyen Taylor. 

PTA Council President Roland Rogers represented the council and facilitated audience questions for the legislator panel.
