New Rochelle Arts Commission Meets Wednesday

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Recovering an awning is one of the items on the agenda when the New Rochelle Municipal Arts Commission meets Wednesday.

The commission will vote whether to allow Sign Design and JC Awning to put a sign with “Dunkin Donuts” and a logoat 646 North Ave. when it meets from 6 to 11 p.m. in room B-2 of New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Ave.

The commission reviews and decides whether the design of street furniture, lighting and banners on public property meets city code.

All applicants wanting business awnings recovered and canopies repaired must go before the commission, which has the final say on awnings, banners and signs that do not meet requirements.
