The million-gallon hyrdropillar tank was built in 1995. The money will be used for interior and exterior painting, circulation system improvements, and minor safety system repairs, the town said. The tank serves the Glenville water district, which is located near the Tarrytown border, close to the Sheraton-Marriott hotels.

The board met in a special meeting Friday morning to vote on the project.
