The meeting was to discuss "policy and politics," said Bramson in a post to his website, noahbramson.org.

Highlights included seeing a national campaign headquarters for the first time, he said, and running into college friend Jon Mitchell, mayor of New Bedford, Mass.

The two men lived in the same residence hall as freshmen, Bramson noted.

He said being among mayors of much larger cities than New Rochelle made him feel like a small fish in a big pond, citing ones from Phoenix, Dallas, New Orleans and New York, among others.
