NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Two assaults occurred during a fight following a Monroe College end-of-semester celebration early Friday morning at the Radisson Hotel New Rochelle on Main Street, said New Rochelle police Capt. Joseph Schaller.
Officers were led to the scene after hearing shots fired near the school’s campus at 434 Main St.
A 21-year-old New Rochelle resident, among the mix of Monroe students and nonstudents, was transported to Sound Shore Medical Center with bleeding from the top of his head and a cut over his left eye after another partygoer struck him unconscious in the hotel parking lot, police said.
A 29-year-old Bronx man was also assaulted at the intersection of Main Street and Franklin Avenue shortly after the first incident. That victim, also knocked unconscious, was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center with a cut over one of his eyes and bleeding from the head.
Police were able to control the scene.
