The victim was involved in an argument with another employee, who is the brother of the defendant, in the kitchen area of The Gourmet Chef/Seasons last Wednesday afternoon, according to police. During the altercation, the defendant came up from behind the victim and punched him, causing swelling and pain to that area, police said. The victim fell to the floor face first and also injured his right cheek from the impact of the fall. He was taken to White Plains hospital, according to the police report.

The store manager confirmed the victim’s story and police said they were shown surveillance footage of the incident.

The New Rochelle man was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. He was released on $250 bail, set by his brother. He is due in Scarsdale Village court Wednesday.
