Police: Woman Steals From New Rochelle Home Depot

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – A Bronx woman allegedly stole two Lincoln Welders worth a total of $1350.87, and a $13 pack of paper towels from the New Rochelle Home Depot on Wednesday afternoon, New Rochelle Police Department Captain Joseph Schaller said.

Charlene Burnett, 48, of the Bronx, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, for using a receipt from another Home Depot to take the items and put them in a cart in order to leave the store.

The following item was also reported by New Rochelle police:

Theft From ShopRite: A 59-year-old Westport, Conn., man was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor; for taking a case of Budweiser beer from the ShopRite supermarket at 8 Joyce Road.

John Green allegedly put the case of beer in a blue bag he brought into the store until a store employee noticed and called police.
