At approximately 2:20 a.m. on Thursday morning, county police received multiple 911 emergency calls from motorists reporting that a white Volkswagen Jetta was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the Hutchinson River Parkway near Weaver Street in New Rochelle, Westchester County Police spokesman Kieran O’Leary said.

According to police, the Jetta - which was later determined to be driven by Long Island resident Jason Eisenfeld - proceeded onto the Cross County Parkway, traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of travel, narrowly avoiding two county police cars that had been dispatched to the area to respond to the incident.

From the Cross County Parkway, Eisenfeld took the Jetta northbound in the southbound lanes of the Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers before he was finally forced to stop by a county police officer near Executive Boulevard.

Eisenberg was arrested and charged with a felony charge of first-degree reckless endangerment, driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeanors, when a small amount of cocaine was found in his car following his arrest. He is due to be arraigned in Yonkers City Court on Thursday afternoon.
