At approximately 10 a.m. on Nov. 26, police responded to a West Third Street apartment building after a woman claimed that an unknown man had knocked on her door and her 8-year-old son let him inside when he claimed to be a narcotics officer who was there on “official business.”

Police confirmed that a suspect was in custody, though additional details have yet to be released.

According to police, the man looked around the apartment for several minutes before leaving without taking anything when the homeowner asked to see his badge and identification. He is described as approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall with a medium build and beard. He was wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants when he illegally entered the home.
