Playstation Stolen From New Rochelle Residence

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – A New Rochelle residence was burglarized Tuesday evening and a video game console was taken, New Rochelle Police Captain Joseph Schaller said.

The resident told police he left his unlocked, second-floor, Fourth Street apartment at 6:15 p.m. and discovered a $215 Playstation video game console missing when he returned at 6:25 p.m.

A neighbor or other acquaintance might have taken the item, Schaller said.

The following items also were reported by New Rochelle Police.

Shoplifitng: Ragaa Eldahry, 71, of 1 Inwood Place, New Rochelle, was arrested Tuesday and accused of taking two headlamps from the Home Depot at 55 Weyman Ave. Eldahry faces a charge of petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Theft from Motor Vehicle:  A $350 Spring Evo cell phone and Nike running sneakers valued at $115 were taken from a 2005 Dodge at a Palmer Avenue residence between 8 p.m. Monday and 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. The front passenger side window was broken.

Theft from Motor Vehicle: A Magellan Global Positioning System device was taken from a 2012 Kia parked in the driveway of a 135 Storer Ave. residence between 9 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.
