NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – A 31-year-old New Rochelle resident was robbed of $500 early Monday morning, New Rochelle Police Department Capt. Joseph Schaller said.
One of two men involved reached into an intoxicated man’s pocket and took the money after grabbing him from behind while he was standing on the corner of Centre Avenue and Huguenot Street, Schaller said.

Armed Robbery: A 44-year-old New Rochelle woman was robbed of $120 and a New York state benefits card while walking near Fourth Street and Union Avenue on Friday. A man demanded money from the victim after he pushed her into a nearby fence and put an unknown object against her back, Schaller said. The man then ran east on Lafayette Avenue.
