New Rochelle Man Charged With Hiring Killer

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – A New Rochelle man was indicted Tuesday on charges of giving an FBI agent who was working undercover as a hit man thousands of dollars to kill a Texas man who had sex with the New York man's wife, reports lohud.

Alejandro Valdovinos-Diaz, 31, gave the agent $3,000 to kill the man, after he told the agent he traveled to Texas to kill the husband himself but decided to hire an outsider to murder him instead, according to the report.

A confidential informant tipped off Yonkers police Jan. 14, and Yonkers officers then contacted FBI agents, reports lohud.
