New Rochelle Man Arrested In Orangetown

ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Orangetown police arrested a New Rochelle man who was wanted on a warrant from the Nyack Village Court for grand larceny and other charges.

Terell Anderson, 21, who is accused of stealing a vehicle from Midland Avenue in Nyack in March, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and petit larceny, police said. Anderson was arraigned and sent to the Rockland County Jail on $1,000 bail.

In other news, Orangetown police also arrested a South Nyack woman for driving under the influence after receiving calls regarding an erratic driver on Route 9W.

Police said Carol Ryan, 71, who was driving a Honda sedan, could not pass field sobriety test and failed a breath test. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released. Ryan is due to appear in court on June 21.
