At approximately 11:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day, a fire sparked on a boat tied to a dock at the marina, which spread to a second boat due to gusty weather conditions. The cause of the initial fire is under investigation.

According to New Rochelle firefighters, an attack was mounted from both land and sea to extinguish the fires before they could spread further.
