NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The fire that broke out Wednesday afternoon at a Cooper Drive apartment complex in New Rochelle is under investigation, New Rochelle Deputy Fire Chief Henry Senno said.

"We're not sure about the cause at this time, but we have investigators looking at it. It was a small fire that was knocked out immediately," he said.

The fire was in a small one-bedroom apartment. The two occupants of the apartment had burns to their arms and are being treated at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx.
Senno said that the fire department was notified of the fire at 12:28 p.m. and was at the scene within five minutes.
