New Officers Welcomed By New Rochelle Police Department

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Eleven new police officers joined the ranks of the New Rochelle Police Department on Dec. 18.

The officers were welcomed at the Westchester County Police Academy graduation. After 20 weeks of training at the academy in Valhalla, they were handed their diplomas during a ceremony at Purchase College.

Two members were recognized with awards. Police Officer Joseph Nieves received the Esprit de Corps Award and Police Officer Jeffrey Marello received the Highest Academic Average Award.
