At approximately 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, police were dispatched to Alden Place after multiple reports of a vehicle that had been driven straight through the intersection of Kraft and Midland Avenue, striking a stone wall and causing what was described by police as “extensive damage.”

Utilizing recently installed village surveillance cameras, police said that detectives were able to identify a license plate number of the vehicle and tracked down the alleged driver, 58-year-old Harry Zabala, who was located in a Yonkers apartment the following morning.

Zabala was cited by officers for leaving the scene of a property damage accident and failing to notify the DMV of a change of address.
