NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. A man is still at Sound Shore Shore Medical Center after being hit by a car as he was crossing New Rochelles Main Street Wednesday morning police said.
The 73-year-old man, who is deaf, suffered a leg injury and a cut to his head after being hit by a 57-year-old Bronx womans Toyota vehicle, New Rochelle Police Department Lt. George Marshall said.
Police are still investigating the accident.

Overturned Vehicle: An 83-year-old woman driving a 2011 Infinity lost control of the car, struck a pole, then a wall and flipped over near 18 Kingsbury Road on Tuesday night, New Rochelle police said. It is not known how she lost control of the car. She was not seiously injured.
Theft From Car Arrest: Calvin Williams, 49, of 23 First St., New Rochelle, was charged with attempted petit larceny, a misdemeanor. He was accused of trying to take a Samsung cell phone, an iPod, and $3.00 from a 2004 Ford Excursion at Main Street and Lawton Street. The woman found Williams in the vehicle after she came back from leaving it. Williams was found by police at Westchester Place and Division Street.
