Firefighters Save New Rochelle Girl From Mixer

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – A 6-year-old New Rochelle girl is OK after an accident with a mixer while making bread and brownies early Thursday morning, the New Rochelle Fire Department said.

The girl got her hair and scalp tangled in the mixer around 7 a.m., but Firefighters were able to cut her hair from the bowl, the department said.

The situation was under control after a firefighter unplugged the kitchen appliance located inside the 31 Fenimore Road home.

It is not known how the girl’s hair and scalp came into contact with the appliance as firefighters arrived on scene to find the girl confined.

The girl suffered a bump in the back of her head, and did not want to go to the hospital.
