Fire Reveals Possible Marijuana Grow House In Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. – Signs of a possible marijuana grow house were reportedly discovered following an early morning Park Hill Avenue home fire on Oct. 6, police said.

Approximately 5:39 a.m., the Yonkers Fire Department and Yonkers Police Department responded to 23 Park Hill Avenue on a report of a structure fire. The fire was subsequently extinguished and no serious injuries were reported at the scene.

A third-floor apartment in the building had extensive damage and contained items consistent with possibly being a marijuana grow house. Yonkers Police arson and narcotics investigators are currently conducting an investigation. No one has been charged criminally at this time.
