The home had been rented out by Blake to Darrin and Kimberly Campbell and their teenaged son and daughter, according to the article. Darrin Campbell was reportedly the treasurer of a Tampa-area private school.
Fireworks were reportedly set throughout the house and two bodies were found to have upper body trauma before the fire was set. The exact cause of death of the four victims has yet to be determined.
Blake did not live at the home and was not there when the fire broke out at about 6 a.m. on Wednesday. There were five bedrooms and five bathrooms in the home, which had 5,856 square feet of living space and was valued at $1.5 million, according to the article.
Blake was born in Yonkers, played throughout high school in Fairfield and now lives with his family in Westport.
His career as a singles player ended last year in a five-set, first-round loss at the U.S. Open. Blake was also inducted into the Fairfield County Sports Hall of Fame last year.
