County Judge Susan Cacace sentenced Marisa Anton, 33, of Yonkers, Tuesday in Westchester Criminal Court as a result of a plea bargain. Assistant District Attorney Fredric Green prosecuted the case.

Anton was arrested in late May of 2012 at the home of the boy whom she had been sending explicit messages and photographs. Anton was there “in an apparent attempt to accomplish a sexual encounter," police said.

The boy, whose identity was not released, and the librarian were “apparently flirting with one another,” New Rochelle Detective Capt. Joseph Schaller said following the arrest. He described their relationship as a “personal, casual” one.

On May 27, the teen went to police headquarters to report Anton exchanged sexually explicit emails and texts with him in her effort to “invite him to engage in sexual conduct with her,” police said.

Anton worked at the high school as a librarian from Sepember 2008 until she was suspended following her arrest. A joint statement released by the school district and the high school  at the time of the incident said Anton had “no prior criminal record and passed all background checks in compliance with the New York State Law.”

She officially resigned in August.

She pleaded guilty in December to the charge of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
