Disabled New Rochelle Student Sues For Being Left In The School During Fire

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- A disabled New Rochelle girl and her family have filed a law suit for $26 million against the New Rochelle School District after she was left in the high school during a fire emergency last year, according to LoHud.com.

Jennifer Feltenstein and her family allege she was repeatedly left in an area where she couldn't evacuate in the event of an emergency, despite requests to remedy the situation. When a fire broke out in January 2013, Feltenstein was left in the high school even though other students were evacuated, LoHud.com reported.
