Shortly before 3 a.m. on Friday, March 3, police were dispatched to a Mobil station on Saw Mill River Road, where the driver alleged that she had been robbed by two passengers she had picked up in Yonkers.

According to police, the driver was instructed to drive the pair to the gas station, where they assaulted her and attempted to rob her. They then fled the cab on foot, prompting a search by responding patrol officers.

The cab driver suffered injuries to her arm and face, requiring treatment from Greenburgh paramedics.

After a short search, officers located 41-year-old White Plains resident Nakisha Minton sitting at a bus stop a short way down the roadway. She was subsequently identified by the cab driver, arrested and charged with a felony count of attempted robbery, police said. She is currently being held, pending an arraignment on Friday afternoon.

The second suspect is still being sought. Anyone with information can contact Greenburgh detectives at (914) 989-1700. Keep following Daily Voice for updates.
