NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - A Bronx man was arrested Wednesday in New Rochelle when state police found him driving erratically on I-95 during rush hour.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, state patrol officers stopped a white Toyota Corolla on the interstate in New Rochelle after motorists alerted police that the driver was operating it erratically.
Upon making the traffic stop, police found that Bronx native Brendan Haugh, 48, was intoxicated, with a blood alcohol content of .19 percent, nearly triple the legal limit.
Haugh was transported to the New Rochelle Police Department, processed and charged with a misdemeanor charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated. He was released to a sober third party and is due back in New Rochelle City Court on Wednesday, March 16.
