New Rochelle's John Slattery, TV News Reporter, Dies

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- New Rochelle resident and veteran CBS 2 journalist John Slattery died suddenly in his home on Thursday, Sept. 25, according to CBS New York. He was 63.

Slattery, who had covered New York for 30 years, had been battling heart problems. Slattery was a four-time Emmy Award winner and was described by his peers as a journalist of the highest caliber, CBS New York said.
