NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Thelma K. Menter, of New Rochelle, died Sunday, March 29. She was 87.
Menter was born Aug. 20, 1927, in the Bronx to Joseph and Bess Klausner. She became a math teacher at New Rochelle High School.
She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Menter; her children, Ruthie Cohen and her partner, David Alberts, Sandie Biondi and her husband, Bruce, Carol Wershaw and her husband, Steven, Larry Menter and his wife, Ruth; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Congregation Kol Ami, 252 Soundview Ave., White Plains.
Interment will follow in Beth El Cemetery in Syracuse on Wednesday, April 1.
