NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Susan Pelini, a former resident of New Rochelle, died June 2 after a long illness at South Bay Hospital in Sun City, Fla. She was 60.
The daughter of Maria Marinack Malanies and the late Frank Malanies, she graduated from Mercy College and received a master's degree from the College of New Rochelle. Pelini taught in public schools in Ridgefield, Conn. Prior to having children, she worked as an associate buyer at JC Penney in New York.
She is survived by her husband, Gregory Pelini; three sons, Mark, Steven and Robert Pelini; a sister, Jill (Jacob) Goodwin; her mother-in-law, Teresa Pelini; a sister-in-law, Cynthia Pelini (Jaime) Peliicer; a nephew and two nieces. She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Dr. Mark Pelini.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Church in Ridgefield. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Ridgefield. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kane Funeral Home in Ridgefield.
