Stephen Calloway, 67, Former New Rochelle Resident, Vietnam War Veteran

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Stephen Calloway a resident of Bridgeport, and former resident of New Rochelle, died Dec. 20. He was 67.

Calloway was born Aug. 28, 1946, in Ossining, N.Y., to Samuel and Eleanor (Alston) Calloway. He graduated from the public schools of New Rochelle and attended one year of college. He served during the Vietnam conflict in the U.S.Army.

He is survived by a brother, Christopher E. (Wanda) Calloway of Mt. Vernon; a nephew, Sam Calloway; aunt, Mrs. Jean Bailey; cousins, David Bailey, Rebecca Brown; Cindy Hubbard and others. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Alita Crump; and cousin, Bryan Bailey.

Calling hours are Thursday, Dec. 26 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Gospel Tabernacle Church of Christ, 99 Lincoln Ave., New Rochelle. Funeral at 6 p.m. at the church.
