Seymour Mark, 96, Of New Rochelle, Started An Insurance Business

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Seymour Mark of New Rochelle died Sept. 24. He was 96.

Mark was born in New York to Aaron and Dora Mark. He was attending George Washington University when World War II began. He enlisted in the Army, was assigned to the Counter Intelligence Corps. and served in Panama. Following the war, he finished college at the University of Michigan. He moved his family from the Bronx to New Rochelle and started an insurance business.

Mark is survived by his wife, Beatrice of New Rochelle; sons, Robert of Ridgefield, Conn., Steven of New York and Michael of Athens, Ohio; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26 at Temple Israel, 1000 Pinebrook Blvd., New Rochelle. Interment will follow at Sharon Gardens, Valhalla.
