Salvatore Iorio, 87, Of New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Salvatore Iorio, of New Rochelle, died on April 4. He was 87.

Iorio was born in Cosenza, Italy to Serafino and Maria Iorio, emigrating to the United States in 1947 and serving in the Army during the Korean War.

After coming home, he worked as a draftsman for the Sanborn Map Company in Pelham.

He is survived by his wife, Antoinette (nee Costa), two daughters, Roseanne Santoro and her husband, Joseph, Kathy Riess and her husband, Peter, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and his brother, Frank.

Iorio was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Russo, and sisters, Louisa DeBartolo and Anna Iorio,

Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 E. Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. Church in Scarsdale.

Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in New Rochelle.
