NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- New Rochelle native Rudolph P. Mees died on Saturday, Oct. 11, in hospice care. He was 87.
Mees was born in New Rochelle on April 1, 1927 to Rudolph and Wanda Mees.
Mees served in the New Rochelle Police Department from 1956 to 1989. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Doris.
Mees is survived by two sons, Robert and Michael, three grandchildren, Matthew, Peter and Devon and two great-granddaughters, Chloe and Dahlia.
