Rosann DiDonato, 87, New Rochelle Insurance Broker

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Rosann DiDonato, a longtime New Rochelle resident, died Sept. 2 at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, N.Y. She was 87. 

Born Sept. 1, 1925, in New York City, she was the daughter of Jeremiah G and Anna Kuhl Valente. She married Richard DiDonato on May 9, 1948, at St. Catharine's Church in Pelham. 

DiDonato worked as an administrator at Valco Corporation for several years. After raising a family, she received an insurance broker's license and worked as an insurance broker in Westchester for more than 43 years. 

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Pelham Manor for more than 50 years. 

DiDonato is survived by a daughter, Anita, of New Rochelle and Weston, Fla.; a son, Anthony (Marie), of South Daytona, Fla.; three grandsons and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; and a daughter, Roxanne Neumeyer. 

Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, at Pelham Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m, Thursday, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
