He was a U.S. Marine Corps tank commander from 1947-51 who was decorated with the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal (two stars), United Nations Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.
He was a lifelong New Rochelle resident, proud patriot, beloved son, loving father, doting grandfather and true friend.
He is survived by his children, Robert W. Pshierer Jr., Stephen (Eliana) Pshierer, Pasquale and Mary Beth Staropoli and his grandchildren, Matthew and Natalie.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Chapel at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx.
