Robert McGrath, 75, Of New Rochelle, Attorney And Former Councilman

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Robert McGrath, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died Dec. 27. He was 75.

McGrath was born May 25, 1938, in NYC, to Charles and Mary (Mallon) McGrath. He was an attorney in New Rochelle for over 50 years. He was a former New Rochelle councilman, associate administrator of New Rochelle Hospital; he served on the Board of Directors of the New Rochelle Boys and Girls Club. He was a past member of the Elks Club and the Lions Club and was active in many local and civic activities.

McGrath is survived by his wife, Ellen; children, Mary Beth (Rick) Bargabos, Megan (Stephen) Kozlow, Robert McGrath, Shelagh (Doug) Foley, Brendan (Caroline) McGrath, AnneMarie (Mario) Virtudes; 12 grandchildren; brother, James McGrath; and sister, Kathy Beirne. He was predeceased by his parents.

Calling hours are Monday, Dec. 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lloyd Maxcy and Sons Beauchamp Chapel, Inc. 16 Shea Place New Rochelle. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31 at Holy Name Church. Interment will be private.
