Richard Bieniewicz, 66, New Rochelle Navy Veteran

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Richard J. Bieniewicz, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died Wednesday, June 27. He was 66. 

Born Nov. 11, 1945, in Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of the late Joseph and Marguerite Bieniewicz. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of American Legion Post 347 in Larchmont. 

Bieniewicz worked for Con Edison for over 30 years. He was a New York Yankees fan and also enjoyed bowling. 

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, the former Suzanne Anderson; two sons, Richard J. Bieniewicz and Kenneth Hurst; and a grandson. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph. 

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Lloyd Maxcy and Sons Beauchamp Chapel in New Rochelle. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, N.Y. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are being handled by Sisto & Paino Directors.
