Phyllis Tavano, 49, Lifelong New Rochelle Resident

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Phyllis Tavano, a lifelong New Rochelle resident, died Saturday, Oct. 20. She was 49.

Tavano was born Sept. 16, 1963, in New Rochelle to Fred and JoAnne Paino Tavano. She worked for the City of New Rochelle for several years and was a communicant of Holy Name Church.

She is survived by her parents, Fred and JoAnne; a son, Joseph Carcia; a brother, Stephen (Robin) Tavano; and her friend, Raymond Bretts.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel in New Rochelle. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Church. Burial will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery. Sisto and Paino Directors are handling arrangements.
