NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Patricia Monteleone of New Rochelle died Saturday, Aug. 31. She was 64.
Monteleone was born Nov. 8, 1948, in Mount Vernon, daughter of John and Jean (Giordano) Spear. She worked for 35 years, until her recent retirement, as a secretary at Lincoln Elementary School in Mount Vernon. She volunteered her time to care for abandoned cats and dogs at Pet Rescue.
Monteleone is survived by her husband, Anthony Monteleone; son, David Monteleone; daughter, Vanessa Tessitore (Marc); two grandchildren; brother, Jerome (Dorothy) Spear; sisters, Debra Spear, Maryjean Landi; brother-in-law, Peter Landi; and many family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; and her first child, Paul. Calling hours are Tuesday, Sept. 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, Sept. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc., 16 Shea Pl., New Rochelle. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
