NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Norma Caporale (Fanese), a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on Monday, Jan. 4. She was 83.
Caporale was born on Aug. 23, 1932, in New Rochelle to the Guido "Bill" and Rose (Latino) Fanese. She worked for more than 30 years at New Rochelle High School.She was predeceased by her son Salvatore Caporale III; her two sisters and a brother.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Salvatore; her children, Sandy (Joseph) Falzone, Norma Jean (Richard) Doran, Maria (Joseph) Ruhl; grandchildren, Christine, Shawn, Christopher, Andrew, Jessica, Anna, Matthew, Sophie, and Julie; and two great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Holy Family Church. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery.
