NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Michael V. Summa, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died May 15. He was 64.
Summa was born June 11, 1948, in New Rochelle, to Leonard and Carmela (Pace) Summa. He graduated from Iona College and received his Masters from Queens College, after which he taught 6th grade at Roosevelt School in New Rochelle. He retired from PepsiCo four years ago. Prior to that he was vice president of Operations at Seagram’s. He then went on to become vice president of Operations at Joyce Beverages and then SoHo Natural Soda.
Summa is survived by his wife, Sharon Georgio; daughters, Lisa Summa-Guarino, Carrie Summa-Cummaro and Gina Egan; five grandchildren; and brother, Leonard. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours will be Friday, May 17 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel , 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18 at Holy Name Church. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital .
