NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Michael Cerreta, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died Oct. 22. He was 74.
Cerreta was born Sept. 27, 1940, in New Rochelle, to John and Lena (Aeillo) Cerreta. He was the owner of Mike Cerreta Auto Sales in New Rochelle for 50 years. He was a Navy Veteran and a former member of the Elks Club.
Cerreta is survived by his wife, Cynthia; children, Cynthia Cerreta, Michael (Jennifer) Cerreta and John Cerreta; three grandchildren; and brother, Salvatore Cerreta. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours are Sunday, Oct. 26 and Monday, Oct. 27 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, Inc., 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle, where a funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
